Accounting Manager

Location: Nashville, TN (Remote with occasional onsite visits as needed)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation:

• Accounting Manager: $100,000 - $110,000 annually

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive accounting leader to oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations while driving process improvements across the organization. This individual will serve as a key partner in monitoring offshore support teams, developing meaningful performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.

This opportunity may be filled at either the Supervisor or Manager level based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day AP and AR activities performed by an offshore shared-services team.
• Review transactions, monitor work quality, and resolve escalated accounting issues.
• Develop, track, and report KPIs to measure AP/AR performance and support accountability.
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support automation initiatives and workflow enhancements.
• Analyze operational performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Assist with establishing best practices, controls, and standardized accounting procedures.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement efforts across the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Candidate with Tier 1 Automotive experience are highly encouraged to apply.
• Experience overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Background developing and reporting operational or financial KPIs.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Experience working with offshore, outsourced, or shared-services accounting teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred, depending on level.
